No I really don't think that it will be that long before Spring has sprung! A scant six days and the month of February will be officially over and March will be here. Two weeks into March and wonderful daylight savings time will begin (March 14). I love daylight savings time! I'm one of those people who get a lot happier once Winter is over. Except for Thanksgiving and Christmas, Winter doesn't really have anything but cold and snow. I know that Spring is just around the corner 'cause if you can believe this we've had flocks of robins this past week and when I got up and looked out the back this morning, there were three bluebirds in the backyard! Now that made me feel all smiley as soon as I saw them. This past week we had three days where the temps were in the high fifties to low sixties, and that my friends is a mere temptation of the things to come! Of course that's after we have another bout of cold and possibly snow. However that is not going to get me down because I know what's right around the corner!
Now for my crocheting WIP's , I've been working for several days on my first baby blankie. Unfortunately, I made a poor choice in patterns, not because the blankie will turn out badly but because the blankie is made up entirely of single crochet! That's a lot of stitches folks and it's in a stripe so there's quite a bit of color changing, back and forth, back and forth because I'm only using two colors.
One other thing I want to say is that I truly appreciate each one of you who ended up at my blog while you were blog hopping in OWOH! I sooo plan on being one of the blog sites entered next year and I've got a whole year to come up with a giftie or two to giveaway. That will make it even more fun than this year, at least for me, maybe. I did a lot of blog hopping of my own and I'm soo tickled to be able to say that I won some prizes! When I receive them I will post pictures along with who's wonderful gifties they came from.
Folks if you're looking for a fantastic giveaway, you need to check out Lila Tueller, of Lila Tueller Designs because she is giving away one of the most beautiful quilts that I've ever seen. She also has prizes for 2nd and 3rd place, prizes of pattern 3 packs!
So stay tuned friends, there's,
Barbara Moorecrochet:)

Hey, I also vote for spring so that's 2 of us, maybe we can get it on express order!!! I agree with you, sc does take forever, it is nice though. But hang in there it will be beautiful when you finish.
Thanks for the tip on the giveaway...I'm gone!
Oh my ~ and here we sit waiting for the NEXT storm tonight! You are a sweetheart Barbara ~ don't forget to email me ( actually mom) your snail mail for the OWOH prize from her blog. It has been hectic here, as you know and I wanted to try and jump on sending these ASAP!
Happy Thursday :o)
Hugs, Nancy
Hi Barbara, I'm glad to hear spring is on it's way to you...we are in the middle of a snowstorm right now. I'm using all sorts of delay tactics not to go out and shovel :0)
You mentioned in your comment at my blog how you had made a couple of teacosies over the years. I wondered if you had posted about them, I'd love to see them.
Good luck on your baby blankie, I'm sure it will be worth all the time and effort that you put into it.
Thanks suki
Hi Barbara! I can't wait for spring to hit either. Thanks so much for your sweet visit! I've had so much fun meeting creative bloggers like you. Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Lisa :)
I like the look of sc, but the changing colors and the tucking in the endsmake me groan.
I do hope you're right about spring being around the corner; but...we're still with temps well below freezing, alot more then a few inches of the white stuff on the ground and it seems we get fresh about every other day; so here it sadly seems a long long way off.
You mentioned blog hopping in a group? Can you fill me in?
Good luck getting your blankie done and keep thinking spring. I'm with ya in spirit even though it will be much longer til it reaches me here.
Sandy
