A Valentine made with Sakura 3D Crystal Color Lacquer

 

I enjoy making cards of all types and I really had fun making this simple Valentine with Want2Scrap outlines and the fun to use Sakura 3D Crystal Color Lacquer. Here’s what I started with:

                 

Once you peel off the design and place it on the paper, it’s just so easy to fill in with the Sakura 3D Color Lacquer! The Lacquer comes in easy to use tubes and you just squeeze out what you need. The lines contain the Lacquer and it doesn’t overrun. Once I finished the flowers in the center, I attached more small flowers that I then filled in with the Lacquer and then punched out a couple of hearts out of some blingy paper and here you have it:

                                                      

   

This Valentine turned out very nice and I’ve got just the friend to send it to! I hope your Valentine’s Day is a sweet one! You might want to try the Sakura 3D Crystal Color Lacquer on your Valentine cards to make some quick and beautiful ones.

The Cutest Bookmark with Creative Paperclay®

 

I saw this bookmark somewhere on the internet but there wasn’t a tutorial so…… I decided it was just too cute not to try and make. I started out with these items:

 I was afraid that just one piece of cardstock wouldn’t be thick enough for the job so I used Collage Pauge and layered the cardstock. I also used the following:

 I also used more cardstock, more Collage Pauge, paint, glitter, wire and of course, wonderful Creative Paperclay®. I layered more cardstock and Collage Pauge, and used markers to decorate one set of bookmarks.

I fashioned a set of legs and shoes from the wire and Creative Paperclay® and painted and glittered them after they had dried.              I used E6000 to attach the legs to the bottom pieces of cardstock and then attached the bottom piece to the top using Collage Pauge once again. Didn’t this bookmark turn out great?

                                       

  Isn’t this just the cutest thing? I think I’m going to make several but I do believe I will seal the legs and bookmark. Please leave a comment because I love to hear from you.

Got Started Early On A Valentine and Sakura Hobby Craft

 

Sakura Hobby Craft has a lot of goodies besides just the Crystal Lacquer, Terri Sproul Mixers and jewelry findings. I was recently sent several wonderful metal boxes. I call them card boxes and we were told to decorate them in any way we wanted.

Here’s what I started with:

           

Does this look like some fun stuff to play with or what? I covered the outside of the box with some very sparkly paper (I love my bling). I used Sakura Crystal Lacquer as glue for everything in this project. Once I had the cover on I added Valentine pictures and then some flowers. I cut paper for the inside and used the Lacquer to adhere it to the inside and then I cut paper to use for a card. I added stickers, hearts that I had punched out from foil, sparkly paper and plain paper. I added a lovely flower and voila’ I had a card to insert into the box.

 

    

I spread Sakura Crystal Lacquer all over the front of the card and then sprinkled it with Terri Sproul Extra Fine glitter. I just love how my first Valentine turned out!!! I love to read your comments, please leave me some.

A Creative Paperclay ®Snowman that won’t Melt!

 

Well it’s that time of year when the snow can really pile up. We actually had snow on Christmas Day this past year. Here we are in a New Year and January is typically the month of the year for snow if you get snow. I started out this project with a gourd and a large coffee creamer jar. I forgot to take a picture of the original gourd and creamer jar so I took a picture of a similar one:

                                         The jar that I used was clean!lol I took the lid off the clean and empty one that I used and glued the gourd to the top. Once the glue was dry I covered the piece with Creative Paperclay® and painted it first with white paint and then with glitter paint. I painted the nose orange. Kind of looks like a snowman already doesn’t it? I added some button eyes, and a mouth, buttons and arms with a paint pen. I wrapped his neck with a fleece scarf and wrote a sentiment that I really like unto his tummy. Here’s the finished product:

               

                                                   I think he’s just adorable don’t you? And you probably all know that I just love the bling that the glitter paint gives to it. You could use styrofoam balls in place of the gourd but isn’t that a great way to recycle that creamer jar!You could make a whole family of snowmen and women! I used approximately 1 lb. of the Creative Paperclay® on this project. Try it and I know you’ll like it!

3D Sakura Crystal Color Lacquer and Sakura Jewelry Finding

 

This project started out like this:

I started out with 3D Sakura Crystal Lacquer in the Primary colors and also in the Pastel Colors. I also used a Jewelry Finding by Sakura Hobby Craft. I picked some colors and carefully put them into the Finding.I then used a tool and drew it carefully through the lacquer to make a design.

For a final touch I sprinkled some Terri Sproul extra fine glass glitter on the top of it. (I call it pixie dust)

         It’s hard to tell from the pictures but the Pixie dust really looks pretty. I love how it turned out and it will make a very pretty necklace don’t you think?

An Organizer I Made With Duck Tape

 

I don’t have any big tutorial to show you today but I think you can figure this out for yourself. I recently made myself an organizer with a shoebox, toilet paper rolls and duck tape.

        

I’ve come to find out though that I have more markers etc. than I have spaces to put them, so as soon as some more toilet paper rolls get saved I’ll fill this box with them. As you can see I chose tape that had paint splatters all over it.

I also made one for a very dear friend of mine. Her favorite color is orange, so I chose a tie dye orange/yellow color. I didn’t have enough toilet paper rolls to complete hers, so I made some squares out of cardboard and used what rolls I had. She now has a place for markers, pens, paper etc.

             

I plan on putting some goodies in this and giving it to her for Christmas. What do you think? Good gift?

A Really Good Looking Angel Tag!

 

Which was made with SinCityScraps, Sakura Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers! Recently we each got to pick some stamps from SinCityScraps and were to use them this month on the Sakura Blog. I hadn’t used SinCityStamps before but I’ve got to say that after giving them a try, I think I’m in love!They have amazing detail which I’m sure the pictures won’t do justice. I’ve been a little down physically this week because I overdid it during my water physical therapy (for my back) so my project is a little one but pretty sweet if I do say so myself. I pulled out several things to use: tags, inks, embossing powders, some angel wings from my stash, translucent paper, Sakura Crystal Lacquer, Terri Sproul Mixers and Glass Glitz and a wonderful SinCityScraps stamp!

I painted the tag with Sakura Crystal Lacquer mixed with Terri Sproul mixer Goldand while this was drying I used my SinCityScraps stamp to stamp the image on the translucent paper with ink, sprinkle the embossing powder on it and then set it with a heat gun.  I applied the Gold Lacquer to the angel wings and sprinkled the Glass Glitz Christmas Mix and then adhered it to the tag with the Lacquer and also the stamp. I tied a ribbon through the hole at the top and lookie what I made! I really loved how this turned out. I would love to hear what you think about it. Isn’t this stamp really super?

A Cute Little Creative Paperclay® Santa Ornament or Tag

 

I’m getting in the Christmas spirit now that Thanksgiving is over and this project is just too easy. I’ve got a couple of Santa head molds and thought I would put them to use. I started out by pressing my Creative Paperclay® into the molds and once it dried popping it out.

 

I then painted the Santas…………………..

Cut out some snowflakes out of different papers on my Cricut machine, put them together and voila’, here you have some wonderful ornaments or tags. You can use these for so many different things.

     

See what I mean? So many different things that you could use these on. Easy peasy to make and they look really nice too, I think, what about you? You can purchase Creative Paperclay® at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or directly from the company. Pick some up and try it out today while you’re working on those Christmas projects, you’ll be happy that you did.

Outline stickers and Sakura Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers

 

Awhile back the team members each received an envelope with outline stickers in it from our team leader, Terri Sproul. Now I wanted to make a card to send to a friend and was trying to get some things done before I had my back surgery so I choose some tulips and a butterfly to use on my card front. Aren’t these outline stickers just awesome? You can use them as a stencil rather than an outline. I placed the outlines on my card front and mixed up some TS mixers with Sakura and filled in between the lines on the outline. I thought it turned out beautifully don’t you? A beautiful card for a friend.

          

Don’t you love this card front? I know I do and would love to receive it as well as give it.

Are you working on Christmas Decorations yet?

 

I would like to show you a project that I completed, using Creative Paperclay® and a few other things. I started out with this:

I chose the birdhouse on the right to work with. I rolled out some paperclay into the form of a snake and cut equal portions of it. I then rolled the pieces into a ball, flattened them and applied them onto the roof of the birdhouse as shingles. I did use glue underneath to hold the shingles in place. I used another snake of clay to go around the bottom of the birdhouse to make it look like snow. I then painted the shingles with white paint and then with Extreme Glitter. I did the same with the clay on the bottom of the house. I then painted the main part of the house blue and the perch gold. I added some Petaloo flowers and some gifts and look how it turned out:

             

These pictures really don’t do justice to the roof. The shingles that were made out of Creative Paperclay just glittered. It looked like it should be in a Winter Wonderland. What do you folks think? I love to hear your comments and it would be so nice to hear from you.          Ha, I found a pic before the extras were added. Don’t these shingles look neat?

A Cute Little Memo Board with Sakura Crystal Lacquer and some news.

 

I have a few wood pieces that I’ve never done anything with and thought now might be a good time to do so. As I said in my last post, I had back surgery which fused my L4 and L5 vertebrae together (or at least it will be when it heals). I’m very limited in what I can do right now. This though should let you know that you can make many things even though you might have limitations.
